Yes, I do love thrifting that is!
Well in all honesty, I love all shopping but I love finding vintage and pre-loved items and giving them another chance to shine. I had packed up three bags of clothing, shoes and handbags to take to the op shop so after handing them over, I looked around to see if I could find something interesting…and…yes, I did!

Yes, I did…another Wrap Dress
Wrap Dress: You’ll recall from earlier post about thrifting, here and here, that I just can’t pass up a wrap dress! And this one was such a perfect shade of red that it wasn’t going to be the first one I left behind. Wrap dresses are a good silhouette for my shape, which is a little on the curvier side. I do however either need to put a stitch in the neckline or wear a camisole underneath because I become too self-conscious about how much cleavage is on show.
Retro 70s: I love vintage 70s clothing. Well actually I love all vintage clothing but I do seem to have a fair few 70s pieces in my wardrobe. I’m thinking of three ways I can wear this shirt. The standard – with my flare legged J Brand jeans, the cool – with my white denim and fierce navy heels and the office – with my black pinstripe blazer and matching pencil skirt.
Denim AND Floral: I loved the water-color look of the flowers on this skirt and to have it be white denim sealed the deal. I can wear it casual or to work which means I’ll get my money’s worth out of it.
Military Minded: This cute military inspired shirt is too small for me and not the best style for someone with a larger bust, but I know who it will look fantastic on, my dear friend Sarah!
Pink, Polka Dots and a Mini???: Yep, maybe the surprise buy of the century, but tomorrow I will show you exactly why I bought this dress.
Five really cute and cool pieces for $28. That is another reason that I love thrifting…oh, yes I do!
How about you? Are you into thrift shop finds? Or would you rather buy new?

Thanks Alicia!
Me too! It was a little bit different and will totally work with the 2013 floral trend without being too girlie.

I am kind of new to the ‘love to thrift’ world and you found some great items. I love that military style shirt! In fact, I think I may have to squeeze a little thrifting time into my day today after seeing what you have found.

For me part of thrill about thrifting is the hunt, finding something different that will have a new life in my wardrobe.
And then of course there is the fact that it is good for the environment.
I also like the thought that if I only wear it a few times I can take it back to the thrift shop without feeling bad because I only paid a few dollars for it.
Happy Thrifting!

Laura
