The Fashion Mister has arranged for us to see “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” while we are in Melbourne for the last of our Christmas holiday break. Mind you it’s not just that we are going to get to see Geoffrey Rush in this spectacularly funny show but we have front row center seats!
I tell you, if I could clone the Fashion Mister, I would let you all have one as he is such a great partner!
We do try to get to one or two “cultural” events a year but I have really high expectations for this one as the reviews have been spectacular. Most of our “cultural” events tend to be music theatre as I am such a die-hard gleek having spent my high school years in glee club and on stage in high school musicals.

Geoffrey Rush has won the “triple crown” of acting, an Academy Award, Tony Award and an Emmy Award, so it will be like being in the presence of a stage king!
I’m not sure what I’ll be wearing, but I’ll make sure the Fashion Mister gets a pic or two so I can share with you. I’m thinking it needs to be a little dressy but not too try hard. Perhaps the black and white Carolina Herrera dress I purchased while in Spain?
We’ll know soon enough! I’m sure I better bring some tissue as I’m probably going to laugh so hard that I cry…hopefully no snorting when I laugh…that could be ugly.

I personally didn’t get ugly…some of the cast were a bit dodgy!
Came close to snorting when Geoffrey Rush was humping the lady two seats from me. I was laughing because it was her and not me!!
Guess that is pretty ugly.

I tried to go see this. I’ve been really sick, but hubby bought tickets for my birthday present. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it through the whole show and we had to leave at intermission. But I liked the first act!

On No! That’s unfortunate…it really was pretty good!
A little bawdy but the cast were great.
And Geoffrey Rush is just fantastic!
