As mentioned yesterday, the weather forced me to go shopping but that wasn’t all of what I bought in San Sebastian, Spain. If you are a regular reader, I’m sure that doesn’t surprise you.
First I’ll share the weather related purchases and then my other, because I wanted them purchases!
What I Bought and Wore: First, let me say sorry for the daggy picture, it is the only one from San Sebastian that shoes the boots that I bought so I have included it. The pants, shirt and handbag had made the trip with me but because of the weather I needed something to keep my feet warmer and some kind of sweater or cardigan. I purchased the boots and the Cardigan at a little Spanish retail chain called Oysho on our first trip walking into town and changed into them immediately. They definitely ended up on high rotation during the holiday!
Oysho and Punt Roma Purchases: I had mentioned purchasing the pants in Barcelona. They were from Punt Roma which I gather is mostly for more mature women as the sizes are a little more generous. I really like them because they are like skinny jeans but with a fair bit more give to the material and the length is much longer so I can wear them with boots. The cardigan and boots were really reasonably priced and got tons of wear while on holiday and are sure to get much more now that they are permanent members of my wardrobe.
Great Buys: The dress and jacket were purchased from a little shop that had a sign out front saying “Outlet Sale”. How could I resist at least going in and having a look around? The total cost of both pieces was 32 Euro, so about $40 Australian! The dress is looks great on with its body con fit and colour blocking showing off curves in a good way. The gold braiding adds just enough glam to it that I think I am going to wear it to my step-daughters wedding in February. It’ll be warm here at that time so the dress and my navy blue satin heels will look great. The jacket is actually an imitation leather, but I love it anyway. After all, it’s orange! And for the price, I can certainly be okay with the expense if it only works for a season or two more. However, the classic cut of it will likely mean that I will get a lot more use over the years than out of other jackets. It’s perfect for adding both a bit of edge and a bit of fun to a look.
I’m sure over the next few months I will have opportunity to style and wear these items, so you will see more of what I bought in San Sebastian, Spain.
Do you like? Anything catch your eye? How would you style them?

I had prepared for lots of shopping but my big love were the shoes and boots and I knew I couldn’t buy too many or I would be paying for overweight baggage! I’m really happy with the mix of things I bought, including that bargain dress!

There you go! You equaled things out. I’m all about splurging on one or two fabulous pieces, while economizing on the rest.
