Tangerine Tango – have you realised yet how much I love this colour?!
There are still a few pieces of this hot and juicy colour that didn’t make it into this blog. I may need them for another day! Plus, I could have put together looks from my wardrobe utilising this fanta-tastic colour all day but have decided to just share a few of my favourites.
Tangerine Tango goes to Work –
This dress has a great vintage look thanks to the fabric and the cowl neck collar. I’ve worn it to work before and had many compliments on its vintage appeal. Matched up with the camel colors and the leopard print it manages to maintain a certain amount of sophistication and classic appeal without being too stiff or boring. Best bit, the dress was purchased at a discount store in the USA and was marked down to $10! The brown crocodile handbag is vintage, purchased for $35 about five years ago.
Tangerine Tango plays on the Weekend – This second look uses the great Tangerine mixers Blue and Brown. The blue printed button-down shirt is a great foil for the more burnt orange colour of the pull-over, which helps bring all the shades of orange together. I have worn this look to work with brown suede boots rather than the orange wedges. It is a more weekend, fun, kind of look with the wedges. I scored the orange carry-all from the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival a few weeks ago. It’s the perfect size to carry all those great things you need handy on a long weekend away.
Tangerine Tango, All Dressed Up With Somewhere To Go - At first blush this may look like an outfit to wear to the office but the slinkyness of the dress really pushes it into the evening. I have added a fire-opal necklace (the Australian gemstone) and some tall EXTREMELY TALL, pair of navy satin heels that help lift this look to the evening. I can’t wear this dress without some really supportive undergarments but the finished look is SOOOOO worth it. The Fashion Mister will totally agree! The dress was from Target this last spring and cost about $50. Jacket – H&M in February, cost $50 (gotta love H&M – I bought it because it made me think Chanel). The handbag was from an accessory shop in the US, cost under $25. Shoes by Glamour Puss, purchased in Sydney about 3 years ago for under $100. So under $250 for the whole outfit and it looks a million bucks! And I even feel a million when wearing it!

I wish I had pieces in that beautiful color! I need to find some accents, like a scarf or an accessory. The orangewedges look pretty and quite comfy too, I am always in the mood for shoes

Accessories are a great way to add the colour to your wardrobe.
It just takes a little to really lift a look.
Go for a pair of orange wedges! You will love them!
Cheers,
Laura
